Current Focus

Creativity in all forms—especially fiction writing, poetry, and photography—now  inspires Rita to action. After years immersed in the corporate world, she visualizes a life of imagination, both for herself and for individuals who desire to attain artistic and alternative career-related goals with joy and passion. She remains determined to apply her interests and skills in new and innovative ways in an effort to break the barriers to human happiness and support unique and less-travelled routes to self-actualization.

Professional Background

Rita maintains a keen interest in health and wellness, with a special emphasis in stress management and work-life balance. Utilizing over twenty years experience as a developer of people, organizations, and learning materials, Rita designed and implemented corporate international leadership and coaching programs in the United States, Asia, and Europe while living internationally for more than ten years.

Her background includes Senior Consultant at Digital Equipment Corporation International (based in Zurich and near London) and Practice Director, Strategic Services at Saba Software in Redwood Shores, California. With engagements in diverse industries including banking, telecommunications, healthcare, hotels and leisure, computer hardware and software, publishing, pharmaceuticals, and insurance, Rita’s assignments included Apple, AT&T, National Bank of Arizona, Ford, Medicis, Cigna, Weyerhaeuser, PG&E, US Forest Service, McGraw-Hill, Ikon Office Solutions, EarthLink, YMCA, Equity Residential, Snowbird Ski Resort, Wells Fargo Bank, and Mayo Clinic Hospital.

As a former faculty member at seven colleges and universities, including the Monterey Institute of International Studies, John F. Kennedy University, University of Phoenix Online, St. Mary’s College, and Michigan State University, Rita taught a wide range of courses including Innovation and Change Management, Interpersonal Communications and Group Dynamics, Organizational Psychology, and High-Level Wellness.

Education & Training

Having earned a PhD in Administration & Higher Education with Psychology minor from Michigan State University, Rita also obtained certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance and graduated from the wilderness survival training programs of Outward Bound and the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
